Guinea registered a massive 6-1 victory over Mozambique in Conakry to stay on Egypt's tail in the race to finish top of World Cup qualifying Group G. After seeing off Zimbabwe 4-2 in Harare earlier on Sunday, Egypt were hoping to secure qualification should Guinea fail to beat Mozambique. But the Syli Nationale were too ruthless against their visitors, with Mohamed Yattara and Sadio Diallo scoring a brace apiece. Ibrahima Traore and Mohamed Diarra completed it as Domingues scored Mozambique's only goal. Egypt remain top with a maximum 12 points, five ahead of Guinea who will host rock bottom Zimbabwe this month, with the Pharaohs travelling to Mozambique. Elsewhere, Cameroon were stunned 2-0 in Togo to lose their group summit to Libya. Algeria came from Benin with a vital 3-1 victory that kept them on top of their group, thanks to a brace from Islam Slimani. Burkina Faso beat Niger 1-0 to close the gap on group leaders Congo to a single point.
