Zimbabwe star striker Knowledge Musona is struggling to be fit for Tuesday's clash against Egypt, even though his manager is ‘confident' he can play. As revealed by the Warriors doctor Nick Munyonga, who declared that goalkeeper Washington Arubi is almost fit, it seems that Musona has an infection and could miss the World Cup qualifier. “I think Arubi is improving and we are doing all that we can to ensure that we protect the hand he sustained an injury," Munyonga was quoted by the Herald. “This is why you saw him taking part in training as an infield player and not in his usual position of goalkeeping. “Preliminary tests have indicated that he will be able to play on Tuesday. With Knowledge (Musona), it is a bit different. The striker had a throat irritation and flue like symptoms. “We think he had a chest infection and fever. We decided that he should take a rest and we hope that all things being equal, he should be back in training anytime soon. We also hope that he will not get worse and be able on play on Tuesday." Meanwhile, coach Klaus-Dieter Pagels seems upbeat about his marksman's chances of leading the frontline against group leaders Egypt. “Knowledge (Musona) is receiving treatment and I am confident that he is recovering. I am also confident that he will be able to play on Tuesday," he said. Musona, 22, is the only player in Zimbabwe's squad who has started the Warriors last competitive game against Angola in the CAN 2013 qualifiers.
