Mohamed ElBaradei, the former chief of the UN nuclear watchdog, has said that his visit to the Egyptian coastal city of Alexandria will be a real test and urged people of the city, where a young man was allegedly beaten to death by police, to join him in his push for constiutional reforms in Egypt. In a meeting with pro-reform women in his house outside Cairo, ElBaradei, a potential presidential contender, warned against "a revolution by the hungry", citing a widening gap between the poor and the rich in Egypt. Since his return to Egypt last Februrary, ElBaradei has been campaigning for reforms, a call that has got support from activists of different political stripes.
