Brussels - Egyptian Foreign Minister, Ahmed Abul Gheit, Friday held talks with the High Representative of the European Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy, Baroness Catherine Ashton, official European sources said in the Belgian capital Friday. "The talks will focus on the bilateral relations between EU and Egypt and the situation prevailing in the Middle East, particularly in Gaza," a statement from the European Commission services said. Abul Gheit will also discuss the latest developments of the "Union for the Mediterranean", in which Egypt presides on behalf of the south. Abul Gheit and the European officials will discuss, in Brussels, the aspects relevant to trilateral cooperation in Africa through the wide Egyptian expertise in the continent and its qualified and technical cadres.
