CAIRO - The Central Bank of Egypt (CBE) said on Monday it accepted offers for 7-year bonds CBEX worth LE1.5 billion ($267 million), the same amount it was seeking, in an auction reopened for the fourth time. The bank, acting on behalf of the Ministry of Finance, accepted offers between 12.55 and 12.72 per cent. The bonds will be settled on May 18 and are due to mature on February 16, 2017. The first tranche of bonds, worth LE2 billion and carrying a coupon of 12.6 per cent, was issued on February 16, 2010. The second tranche of bonds of LE2 billion was issued on March 30 and carry the same coupon. The third tranche of bonds, worth LE1 billion was issued on April 20 and carry the same coupon.
