Amr Zaki took part in Zamalek's training late on Friday for the first time since ending his short loan spell at Hull City, the local media reported on Saturday. The 27-year-older participated in normal training after finishing his rehab, according to the Cairo club's official website. ‘The Bulldozer' joined English Premier League side Hull from Zamalek in January in a loan deal that was due to expire at the end of the season. However, his adventure came to a premature end after a succession of niggling injuries prompted Hull coach Iain Dowie to inform him that he could no longer feature with the Tigers. The club are still obliged to pay Zaki his wages until the loan spell officially ends in June. But the Egypt's striker is now seeking to terminate that deal to acquire his International Transfer Certificate (ITC) and become eligible to play with Zamalek this season. Zaki confirms that he will only consider playing for Zamalek right now, describing it as his original club and stressing that he gets on well with Zamalek coach Hossam Hassan and the rest of the coaching staff. The White Knights are in dire need of a top-notch striker as they mainly rely on one striker Ahmed Gaafar. They are preparing for the clash against el-Masri on Monday in the Canal city of Port Said. The players have been looking good in training, although Shekabala has taken part, as he's come down with the flu. Coach Hassan hopes the White Knights will maintain second place in the local league; they have 48 points with three matches remaining. Al-Ahly have already won the sixth successive title after beating Mansoura 3-0 in Cairo Thursday night. They have 60 points and also three matches left. They face Ismaili on Monday in Cairo. Meanwhile, West Ham striker Ahmed Hossam 'Mido' has robustly denied that he might join Egyptian champions Al-Ahly in the summer. In a lengthy report, English tabloid the Daily Mail conjectured that Mido might join Ahly in the close season after spending a 'poor spell' with West Ham. But the former Zamalek prodigy stresses that a move to the Red Devils is a far-fetched idea. "A move to Ahly is very unlikely for me," Mido told FilGoal.com over the phone from England. "I could join any club on the globe, but not Ahly. "I came through Zamalek's youth ranks and I simply cannot play for their arch-rivals. Professionally, there is nothing wrong with moving from one club to another, but I can't put on the red jersey." Mido spent the first half of the season with Zamalek and he was supposed to stay there for the whole of it. However, he opted to cut short the loan stint at his boyhood club after failing to live up to expectations. Later on, the former Roma man signed for West Ham United in an attempt to resurrect his glory days. But Mido was far from impressive, failing to find the net in the nine matches he has taken part in so far in the Premier League this season. Sky Sports reported on Wednesday that some leading clubs in Turkey and Greece are keen on acquiring Mido's services in the close season. The report is yet to be confirmed.
