HAVING some Muslim extremists showing high profile after January 25 Revolution and even have the ability to form political parties and be guests to the different satellite channels, have annoyed many citizens who were concerned over the influence of those extremists on the moderate religious nature of the Egyptian society. However, the opposite was true, as revealing the shocking ideas of those extremists have driven the majority of Egyptians seek proper reading to their religion via which they got more evidences to its reconciliatory fair principles that violate the fanatic picture those extremists meant to acquire Islam. That is why one turned to see many persons, mediamen, officials or even ordinary citizens respond to these extremist thoughts with Qur'anic verses and hadith (sayings of Prophet Mohamed (PBUH) , violate these extremist thoughts. Last night, the Egyptians, Christians and Muslims restored the spirit of January 25 Revolution and celebrated together the Xmas at the different churches. For some years now January 7, the Xmas day according to the Coptic Orthodox has turned to a national day in which Egyptian Muslims share their Christian brothers and sisters their celebration of the birth of the Christ (PBUH), why not while the miracle of Jesus birth is mentioned in the Holy Qur'an that glorify Jesus and his dignified mother Virgin Mary ! By doing so, the Egyptians meant to respond to the extremist call made by some extremist Salafists prohibit congratulating the Christians on that feast. They expressed their refusal to this call by showing greater eagerness not only to congratulate their Christian brothers and sisters on the Xmas day but also hanging banners expressing Muslims congratulation to the Christians with the Xmas and groups of Muslims headed to different churches to attend the Xmas ceremonies themselves and not be satisfied by a phone call or a visit to their Christian friends to express their best wishes of happy Xmas and new year. Contemplating this image the civilised Egyptians managed to draw, one would realise the kind of solidarity and fraternity the Egyptians; Muslims and Christians would continue living as they managed to do for long centuries. Therefore, the natural result of these ode thoughts was to have these extremists be margenalised and isolated by the society or force them revise their wrong ideas about their religion.
