Egypt's Ahmed Mekki struck at death to help Egypt edge out a home-based Nigeria side 3-2 in a friendly game in Dubai . The match comes as part of Egypt's one-week training camp in the UAE ahead of the World Cup and CAN 2013 qualifiers in June. Nigeria, playing without their Europe-based players, broke the deadlock on 12 minutes courtesy of a Sunday Mba strike as Dakhlia striker Ahmed Temsah restored parity in the 26th minute with his first international goal. Veteran playmaker Mohamed Abou-Treika, who put in a good display in the game, scored from the spot on 33 minutes as Uche Kalu pulled level two minutes from the interval. Both teams looked set for a fair draw, only for Mekki, who also scored in injury time in the previous game against Chad, to snatch a win for Egypt with a wonderfully-crafted goal in the 95th minute. Action-packed half and late winner The Super Eagles piled on pressure outright capitalizing on Egypt's midfield frailties and were rewarded when striker Mba opened the scoring with a shot that deflected off defender Ahmed Saied ‘Ouka' following a Kalu cut-back. Temsah, starting ahead of Ahli ace Emad Meteb in attack, replied with a fluke strike when he latched onto a Hossam Ashour through pass, only for the defender's attempted clearance to hit the Egypt forward and bizzarrely beat the advancing keeper. Egypt redeemed themselves following the equalizer and full-back Mohamed Abdul-Shafi was awarded a penalty after being tripped inside the area as Abou-Treika converted successfully, sending the keeper the wrong way. Egypt keeper Abdul-Wahed Al-Sayed was called into action five minutes from the break when he superbly tipped over a fierce drive but Kalu notched home a nifty back heel to bring his side level from the ensuing corner.
