CAIRO - Mrs. Umayya Yousef Ka'aki, the wife of the Saudi Ambassador to Egypt Ahmed Kattan, has visited to the Cairo-based Children's Cancer Hospital and inspected its in-patient and out-patient clinics. Mrs. Kattan was welcomed by the hospital's director, Dr. Sherif Abul Naga, who highlighted the services that are being rendered by the hospital, which managed to occupy a distinguished place among the world's largest cancer hospitals. During her four-hour tour, Mrs. Kattan presented gifts to the children, with whom she had an amiable chat. When a little girl called Heba told the ambassador's wife that her father lives in Saudi Arabia, and she wished to visit him, Mrs. Kattan promised to take Heba to the Kingdom during her annual vacation , and play host to her during the visit. Mrs. Kattan also volunteered to teach Arabic and English languages at the hospital's school, for two days a week, after learning that the school is currently under staffed. Later on, she held an entertainment party for the children to cheer them up and boosting their morale. During the party, the children insisted on taking photos with Mrs. Kattan. “I am quite impressed with this world-class hospital, after I saw its highly equipped facilities, the efficiency of medical and nursing staff members, as well as the highly professional administrative system," Mrs. Kattan said. She also praised the high quality medical care services, which are being provided to the sick children, pledging to visit the hospital quite so often to enquire after the children and give them a helping hand. After wrapping up her visit, Mrs. Kattan made a donation to support the hospital in carrying out its noble mission, and expressed to the staff her pride in their great medical institution, describing it 'an excellent model that combines the values of knowledge, hard work, and human good'.
