CAIRO - It would have been better for ousted president Hosni Mubarak to enter the courtroom on his feet instead of stretching on a bed, the wife of former president Anwar el-Sadat told a talk show late on Saturday. "Mubarak is a fighter so he should have been brave to confess any mistake," Jihan Sadat added. Speaking about the celebrations of 'October Victory', el-Sadat said it's the first time in 30 years those who had actually participated in the war were paid tribute. Jihan denied that Mubarak was involved in killing Sadat, although she said that Mubarak ignored the role of late Sadat in the war. "If I had one proof that Mubarak were involved in killing my husband, I would sue him even while he was in power," she added. Jihan said she has addressed the military council to the effect of raising her pension to the value of Sinai Star, which Sadat wore following the October War.
