CAIRO – Egypt's indexes closed the week in the black, with main benchmark index EGX30 gaining 0.59 per cent to 4,755.07 points, traders said. The broader indexes EGX70 and EGX100 gained 0.07 and 0.15 per cent to 590.82 and 874.53 points respectively, while volume totalled LE407 million ($68.4 million), they added. Locals made net sell-offs worth LE22.9 million, while Arab and non-Arab investors made net purchases worth LE3.5 million and LE19.4 million respectively, according to Bourse data. Egypt's heavyweight Commercial International Bank (CIB) leapt by 0.93 per cent to LE27.76 per share. EFG-Hermes, the country's biggest investment bank by market value, rose 0.53 per cent to LE17.17 per share. Orascom Construction Industries (OCI) jumped by 0.55 per cent to LE243.83 per share. Orascom Telecom, the largest Arab mobile operator by subscribers, gained 3.18 per cent to LE3.57 per share, while Mobinil dipped by 1.47 per cent to LE96.37 per share.
