CAIRO - A committee coordinating contacts among activists and revolutionaries invited the public to perform the prayers for Eid el-Fitr (the Lesser Bairam), which is expected to start next Wednesday, in their hundreds of thousands in Tahrir Square, in order to renew their commitment to the objectives of the Egyptian revolution. The Co-ordination Committee for the Supporters of the Revolution, has invited the public to lobby for stability and progress in Egypt on the first day of the feast, when Muslims across the world start celebrating the end of the holy fasting month of Ramadan. Muslims welcome Eid el-Fitr with major prayers, after which they chant songs glorifying and thanking God.
