CAIRO - Prime Minister Essam Sharaf Monday starts a two-nation Gulf tour to boost ties with the United Arab Emirates and the Kingdom of Bahrain to boost bilateral ties, the official Middle East News Agency (MENA) said. In Abu Dhabi, Sharaf holds meeting with Emirati officials aiming to strengthen ties including education, culture and trade. He also delivered a message to President Khalifa bin Zayed dealing with Egyptian efforts to bolster ties with the UAE. Later, Sharaf flies to Manama, where he will hold talks with senior Bahraini officials with the aim of widening the scope of co-operation ties between the two countries. He praised the "deep friendship" between the two countries based on shared history and vital interests, MENA said.
