Egypt nominates FM for Arab League chief

CAIRO - Egypt Sunday nominated its Foreign Minister Nabil el-Arabi as the secretary-general of the Arab League, withdrawing its controversial nominee Moustafa el-Feqqi, the official Middle East News Agency reported.
The replacement prompted Qatar to drop its rivalry to the top post in the pan-Arab organisation.
