CAIRO - Chief Prosecutor Abdel Maguid Mahmoud Sunday evening ordered that former president Hosni Mubarak be transferred to a military hospital, the spokesman for public prosecution said. The move would be temporary until preparations are completed at the hospital of the Torah Prison on the outskirts of Cairo. Mubarak, 82, now staying at a hospital in the Red Sea town of Sharm el-Sheikh, will be transferred to a military hospital until he is taken to the prison hospital, added the prosecution official. Director of the Sharm el-Sheikh Hospital in the famed Red Sea town Dr Mohamed Fatallh said that Mubarak had been examined by the chief of the Forensic Medicine Department, reported Egypt's official Middle East News Agency (MENA). He, however, declined to say if the former president, 82, could be transferred to another place.
