Hundreds of supporters and opponents of Egypt's deposed President Hosni Mubarak Thursday clashed outside a Cairo court hearing a case on removing his name from public institutions. The hearing was delayed until April 14. Clashes first started inside the courtroom where lawyers filing the case had a scuffle with pro-Mubarak lawyers, according to eyewitnesses. Police and judicial officials said about 200 people carrying pictures of Mubarak and 300 opponents threw stones and water bottles at each other before police and Army soldiers intervened. The officials said several people were slightly injured, before Mubarak's supporters left the area to the nearby Abdin Palace. They rose banners reading: "It is not logical to remove 30 years under Mubarak from history". They said Mubarak was a hero of the 1973 war with Israel and deserved respect. Opponents, meanwhile, blamed him for political repression and corruption during his three decades in office. Mubarak stepped down on February 11 after 18 days of massive protests.
