TEHRAN - An Iranian lawmaker has condemned the leak of US diplomatic cables that recount calls by leaders of some Arab states for a US attack against Iran's nuclear facilities. Mahmoud Ahmadi Biqash, a conservative lawmaker, is quoted by the official IRNA news agency as saying that the revelations by Wikileaks seek to damage Iran's ties with the Arab world. There has been no official Iranian reaction to the documents. But state media have reported on cables that said Saudi and other Arab leaders called on the US to launch an airstrike on Iran's nuclear facilities. The US suspects Iran's nuclear program is aimed at making weapons, something Tehran denies.
