SHARM EL-SHEIKH - Despite the fact that Sharm el-Sheikh Airport is the second biggest airport in Egypt and the third in Africa, the AVEX Air Show contributed much in adding credit to the airport and its potential, said Gad el-Karim, the Chairman of Sharm el-Sheikh International Airport. He added that Sharm el-Sheikh Airport witnessed the highest rates of operation during AVEX. It received around 49,800 passengers on 355 regular and charter flights, an unprecedented figure since the foundation of the AVEX Airshow. "I am sure that our airport personnel have gained a lot of experience by organising this event," he added.
