CAIRO - The three-day Eid el-Fitr holiday will start on September 9 after the end of the holy month of Ramadan, the Cabinet said Wednesday. The holiday begins on Thursday September 9 and ends on Sunday September 12 to mark the three-day feast, Cabinet spokesman Magdi Radi said. Government offices will be closed for three days, starting on Thursday, November 26, the Cabinet said in a statement. Government and private sector employees will return to their offices on Monday, September 13, he added. The public and private sector banks as well as the Egyptian Exchange (EGX) will be also closed on September 9. Business will resume on Monday, September 13, Radi added.
