ROME, Oct 4, 2018(MENA) - Agriculture Minister Ezz Eddin Abu Steit will participate in Big Blue Rome Sea Expo that will bring together countries bordering the Mediterranean Sea, Africa and Europe. In statements on Thursday, the agriculture minister said that this year's two-day exhibition, to run during the period February 1-3, 2019 , will include new activities, topped by shedding light on the importance of bioeconomy as a bridge linking Africa to Europe. The minister is also scheduled to give a word on bioeconomy in Egypt and its importance in achieving sustainable development. He will have talks with Italian Minister of Agriculture, Nutrition and Forestry Gian Marco Centinaio and other Italian officials to discuss means of fostering bilateral cooperation in the fishing domain, as well as tapping new markets and beefing up Egypt's exports. Abu Steit will also meet the president of the International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD) and the Director-General of the UN Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) to discuss cooperation between the Agriculture Ministry and the UN organizations in Rome.
