WASHINGTON, Sept 8, 2018 (MENA) - Secretary of State Mike Pompeo said that since 1994, the US provided $6.3 billion in aid to support the Palestinian people. Iran's regime provided Palestinians with just $20,000, via UNWRA from 2008 to 2017, Pompeo said on his Twitter account on Friday. Iran's regime provided hundreds of millions in aid to terrorists who endanger the Palestinians' lives and livelihoods, Pompeo added. Earlier, US President Donald Trump said that reaching a peace agreement between the Israelis and Palestinians is tougher than he had thought. Trump pointed out that he has decided to cut aid to the Palestinians to put pressure on them so that they would return to negotiations with Israel.
