CAIRO, Sept 6 , 2018 (MENA) - Ministers Mohamed Said el Assar of Military Production, Mahmoud Sharawi of Local Development and Yasmine Fouad of Environmental Affairs discussed on Thursday means of adopting an all-out mechanism for confronting wastes problem. Assar said the meeting reviewed up-to-date technology for establishing factories for recycling garbage, noting that the military production companies have established 68 waste recycling factories nationwide since 1995. Meanwhile, Sharawi said the ministry will spare no effort to cooperate with the governorates and local authorities to render the waste management mechanism successful. For her part, Fouad voiced confidence that the national programme for waste management would succeed, especially in view of this trilateral coordination. At the end of the meeting, the three ministers agreed on forming a committee among the three ministries to convene periodically as of Monday to activate action mechanisms for getting rid of wastes throughout the country.
