CAIRO, August 8, 2018 - The Egyptian and Jordanian oil ministers on Wednesday reviewed ways of boosting co-operation between the two countries in the field of petroleum and gas. Egyptian Minister of Petroleum Tarek el-Mulla accompanied his Jordanian counterpart Hala Zawati on her visits to the Egyptian Natural Gas Company (Gasco Company), Petrojet and Enppi as the major arms of the petroleum sector in carrying out petroleum projects. The Jordanian minister listened to a presentation on the potentials of the Egyptian companies as well as the latest technologies and applications used in the field of oil and natural gas. In another development, a statement released by the Egyptian Ministry of Petroleum said that the establishment of "Noras-Abu Madhy-Al Gamil" gas pipeline at a total cost of $300 million would be completed by the end of 2018. The statement said that the minister met top officials from the ministry, the Egyptian Natural Gas Holding Company (EGAS), Belayim Petroleum Company (PETROBEL), Enppi, Petrojet and the maritime petroleum services in the Gamil area of Port Said to follow up the development of natural gas projects in the Nile Delta, especially those belonging to PETROBEL. The projects include the third phase of development of the Noras gas field in the western Abu Madhy area along with the development and early production of Balteem oil field in the Eastern Delta. The "Noras-Abu Madhy-Al Gamil" pipeline is expected to carry around 700 million cubic metres of gas daily.
