CAIRO, July 30, 2018 (MENA) - Minister of Water Resources and Irrigation Mohamed Abdel-Ati on Monday asserted that an agreement has been reached to enhance coordination among state bodies and the Egyptian Agency of Partnership for Development (EAPD) to bolster means of cooperation with Nile Basin countries. This came during a regular coordination meeting held at the Irrigation Ministry's Nile Water Sector on Monday to review the EAPD-funded bilateral cooperation programmes with Nile Basin countries in the fields of water resources and irrigation. All the participants asserted their commitment to remove any obstacles to the implementation of these programmes for the common interest of all Nile Basin countries, said the minister in post-meeting statements. The meeting also discussed cooperation with some countries with which memoranda of understanding (MoU's) had been concluded including Uganda, Tanzania and the Republic of the Congo, head of the ministry's Nile Water Sector Ahmed Bahaa' Eddin said.
