ASWAN, Egypt, July 30, 2018 (MENA) - Head of the Railway Southern Area Shaaban Mahmoud said that the derailed locomotive of the push–pull train was back on track. In statements on Sunday night, the official said that Public Prosecution ordered the return of the derailed locomotive to the rails. He added that the lifting operation of the derailed carriages will take place after finalising investigations to identify the cause of the Cairo-Aswan train derailment accident. On Sunday, six people were injured when train 982, travelling from Cairo to Aswan, went off track in front of a Kom Ombo village in northern Aswan.
