ALGIERS, July 21, 2018 (MENA) – Egypt's gymnast Abdel Rahman Abdel Halem won a gold medal in the floor competition at the African Youth Games held in Algeria. The medal is the third in gymnastics for Abdel Halem, who won earlier gold and bronze medals. Also, Egypt's Janah Ibrahim won the uneven bars gold while her fellow Mai Hazem won the silver medal in the same competition. Egypt's 372-member mission to the 10-day championship compete in athletics, swimming, Taekwondo, weightlifting, badminton, basketball, volleyball, boxing, judo, rowing, fencing, tennis, table tennis, cycling, karate, bow and arrow, handball, canoe and kayak, kung fu, sailing, water skiing, chivalry, archery, wrestling, gymnastics, speedball and Petanque. As many as 3,000 athletes aging between 15-18 from 54 African states participate in the event which ends on July 28.
