CAIRO, July 3, 2018 (MENA) - Egypt's Agriculture and Land Reclamation Minister Ezz-Eddin Abu Steet had a meeting with Australian Ambassador in Cairo Neil Hawkins on boosting bilateral cooperation in the agriculture sector. The meeting was attended by Deputy Minister of Agriculture Mona Mehrez. During the meeting, Abu Steet stressed the depth of ties between the two countries, underlining the importance of boosting cooperation in the agricultural science research field. They also mulled means of exchanging expertise in water resource management, along with rationalizing irrigation water and maximizing water use. The minister also stressed the importance of beefing up trade exchange of agricultural crops and animal products between both countries. For his part, the Australian ambassador expressed his country's keenness on promoting cooperation with Egypt and furthering trade ties.
