CAIRO, June 20, 2018 (MENA) - Prime Minister and Housing Minister Moustafa Madbouli stressed on Wednesday that the new government is determined to move ahead with reform plans launched during the government of Sherif Ismail. Madbouli, during the first weekly meeting of the new government, expressed appreciation for all efforts exerted by Ismail-led government, saying it took many decisive decisions, especially at the economic level, to address the challenges besetting Egypt. Upon the directives of President Abdel Fattah El Sisi, the newly-appointed premier said the new government will work on improving the living conditions of Egyptians and will pay more attention to several files, especially health, education, developing the administrative apparatus of the State and finalising mega national projects. He instructed the government to pay more attention to citizens' complaints and keep close eye on markets to control prices and face monopoly attempts. Madbouli urged the ministers to present their visions as regards the new government platform that will be presented to parliament for approval. The new cabinet was sworn in on Thursday, with 12 new ministers, including the interior and defence ministers.
