CAIRO, June 19, 2018 (MENA) - Egypt's exports of plastic and rubber products have increased during the period between January and April 2018 to 539.19 million dollars up from 426.18 million during the same period last year. This is a 27-per cent rise, said a report by the Chemical & Fertilisers Export Council, a copy of which MENA received Tuesday. Plastic and rubber products make up about 32.6 per cent of the total Egyptian exports of chemical industries, the report noted. Belgium topped the list of countries importing Egyptian plastic and rubber products with 44.15 million dollars, the report said. Coming second on the list was Italy with 31.88 million dollars, then Spain and Britain with 28.14 million and 20.59 million respectively, the report added. Egyptian plastic and rubber exports to China amounted to some 19.08 million dollars between January and April 2018, the report further said. Iraq's imports of Egyptian plastic and rubber products reached 18.65 million dollars, followed by Sudan with 16.6 million dollars, Germany with 17.77 million dollars and France with 15.1 million dollars, it added.
