Staff report The Egyptian Armed Forces organised a ceremony to honour the families of army and police personnel who have been martyred or wounded while on duty defending the homeland and protecting its stability. For the third day on Sunday, the ceremony continued to be held at the Manarah Convention Centre where President Abdel Fattah El Sisi attended the first day event on Eid al-Fitr. Families of the martyrs and injured have expressed endearment and appreciation for President Sisi and the Armed Forces and Police for the efforts they make to extend all forms of care to them. On Saturday, the second day of such ceremonies, Waqfs Minister Dr M. Moukhtar Gomaa and some other government ministers honoured a number of the families of martyrs and offered them Eid presents. A number of Armed Forces commanders and senior civilian Police officers attended Sunday's ceremony which is a continuation of the Armed Forces marking of the occasion of Eid al-Fitr.
