MOSCOW, June 12, 2018 (News Wires) - The 2018 FIFA World Cup has a couple of uncertain groups and group F is definitely one of them. Away from the Die Mannschaft, Group F looks like one of those closed cases, where there is little hope of appeal. The die is cast. Group F has Germany, Mexico, Sweden and South Korea. Germany For the neutrals and the fault finders, Germany's biggest fault lies in leaving behind Premier League Young Player of the Year Leroy Sane. Well, away from the Sane saga, Germany is a known efficient side that will be looking to replicate Brazil's record of winning the World Cup twice in a row. Under the tutelage of Joachim Low, Germany hasn't exited a tournament before the semi-finals stage and has remained a firm favorite in any tournament they take part in. An efficient side by nature, Germany will be looking to get the job done early enough, but could also be entrapped by the ‘Champions Curse' where a side that won the previous tourney is less likely to do well in the current one. Well... On paper, Germany has a totally good side from the back to attack, and coming to Russia they mean business. Mexico The group's dark horse? Maybe. This is the 7th World Cup appearance for the Mexicans. Since 1966, they haven't failed to progress past the group stages. On paper, they have one of the more experienced outfits and will be hunting for a maiden place past the quarter finals. Not totally fancied but a team worth watching out for. Sweden After 12 years out in the cold, a Zlatan-less Sweden are into the World Cup. Can they make an impact without the talismanic forward? While some argue that Ibra's absence would help propel Sweden even further, others have held that his absence will make life difficult for them. That is a tough one to say, but one sure thing is that Sweden are not a tough challenger in the groupo and the tournament. South Korea Can they get something? The 2002 edition for the South Koreans was the best for them, as they finished fourth on home soil. This will be their 9th World Cup, but there is little to suggest that they can make an impact. Players to Watch Mesut Ozil (Germany): Ozil is and remains a standout player for his country and in his position. Ozil has won Germany's player of the year award in five out of the last seven years, and his assists and eye for goal make him stand out for Germany. Timo Werner (Germany): The youngster is one of the most promising global stars, and will play a lead role for his country. The RB leipzig player seems to have taken Thomas Muller's place and has had an incredible domestic season with Leipzig. So far, he has 7 goals in 10 appearances for Germany, an incredible record by any standards. Javier Hernandez (Mexico): The Little Pea, has been outstanding since he came to the limelight. Although he hasn't had a perfect season for West Ham, he has shown flashes of brilliance still, and will be a player worth watching out for.
