Sisi arrives at Lailat al-Qadr celebration venue

CAIRO, June 11,2018 (MENA) - President Abdel Fattah El Sisi arrived at Al Azhar International Conference Hall on Monday to attend the Ministry of Wakfs' celebration of Lailat al-Qadr (the night when the first verses of the Quran were revealed to Prophet Mohammed).
The celebration includes honouring Quran reciters from Egypt and other nations.
The president was welcomed by Caretaker Prime Minister Sherif Ismail, Prime Minister-designate Dr Mostafa Madbouli, Grand Imam of Al Azhar Dr Ahmed el Tayeb, Parliament Speaker Dr Ali Abdel Aal, Wakfs Minister Dr Mohamed Mokhtar Gomaa, Minister of Defence and Military Production Sedki Sobhi and Mufti of Egypt Dr Shawqi Allam.
The event is also attended by a number of ministers, governors, ambassadors of some Arab and Islamic countries and public figures.
