CAIRO, June 9, 2018 (MENA) - President Abdel Fattah El Sisi will attend a ceremony to be organized by the Awqaf (Endowments) Ministry to mark Lailat al Qadr (the night that the Quran was first revealed to Prophet Muhammad). During the ceremony, the president will honor ten reciters of the holy Quran from Egypt and all over the world. Nine of those reciters are among the world's top reciters who had won an international Quran competition organized by the Awqaf Ministry during March. The event will be attended Al Azhar Grand Imam Sheikh Ahmed el Tayyeb, Egypt's Mufti Shawki Allam, Awqaf Minister Mohamed Mokhtar Gomaa besides some ministers and ambassadors of Islamic and Arab countries in Cairo, in addition to a galaxy of scholars of Al Azhar and the Awqaf Ministry.
