CAIRO, May 29, 2018 (MENA) - Head of Egypt's National Council for Human Rights (NCHR) Mohamed Fayek has welcomed a decision by the sub-committee of the Global Alliance of National Human Rights Institutions (GANHRI) which maintained NCHR's highest classification among world councils. In a statement Tuesday, Fayek appreciated the efforts of GANHRI and its members, saying the classification asserted NCHR's cooperation with the state agencies to promote the status of human rights in Egypt. He also praised cooperation at regional and international levels, especially with the High Commissioner for Human Rights and regional and African human rights networks.
