CAIRO, May 13, 2018 - The volume of trade between Egypt and the UAE reached a value of $4.9 billion in 2017 against $2.8 billion in 2012, according to a report of the UAE Ministry of Economy. The UAE imports from Egypt reached $2.1 billion in 2017 compared with $649 million in 2012. The report also reviewed the strong ties binding Egypt and the UAE, noting that they were exerting much effort in both the public and private sectors to increase investments and trade. The report also reviewed the diversification of Egyptian exports to the UAE. The export of fuel products amounted to 14.3 per cent in 2016, vegetables 12.5 per cent, chemicals 11.3 per cent , textiles 11.2 per cent and minerals 11.8 per cent.o of the total volume of exports.
