CAIRO, May 7, 2018 (MENA) - Egypt's Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry and his Ugandan counterpart Sam Kutesa started on Monday political consultations at El Tahrir Palace. The talks focused on boosting cooperation between Egypt and Uganda in the various domains, as well as a host of issues of mutual interest. They also mulled strengthening cooperation among the 11 Nile Basin countries; namely Egypt, Uganda, Rwanda, Tanzania, Burundi, the Democratic Republic of Congo, Kenya, Ethiopia, Eritrea, South Sudan and Sudan. Following the talks, the two ministers will hold a joint press conference. The closing session of the Egyptian-Ugandan committee talks, under the co-chairmanship of the two foreign ministers, will be held at the headquarters of the Foreign Ministry following the two ministers' talks.
