CAIRO, May 3, 2018 - Zamalek fought back from 1-0 down to beat Entag El-Harby 3-1 at PetroSport Stadium on Wednesday and qualify to the semi-final of the Egypt Cup. The White Knights conceded an early goal after Ahmad Shedid Qinawi's free-kick got past everyone to bounce into the net after five minutes only. Zamalek had a chance to equalise at the 10-minute mark but Moruf Yusuf failed to tap in Hamdy Nagguez's cross from inside the box. Around the half-hour mark, Kabongo Kasongo missed a huge chance to level the scoreline. The Congolese forward, however, almost put Zamalek in front before the break, but his header hit the woodworks as Entag headed into half time with a 1-0 advantage. Qinawi had a chance to complete his brace and double his side's lead five minutes after the break, but his effort went over the bar. Three minutes later, Zamalek were awarded a penalty and Mahmoud Alaa converted from the spot to make it 1-1. The White Castle pushed for the winner and they eventually scored their second of the night in the 90th minute. Second half substitute Mohamed Antar capitalised on a defensive error to send the ball in the back of the net. Just two minutes later, Tarek Hamed's left-footed strike from outside the box made it 3-1 to seal Zamalek's qualification to the semi-final, where they'll face Ismaily. The White Knights, who finished fourth in the Egyptian Premier League, are looking to win the Egypt Cup title in order to secure a spot in the CAF Confederation Cup next season.
