Gazette Staff CAIRO, April 22, 2018 - Egypt's Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources Tarek El-Mulla on Sunday discussed with Canadian Ambassador Jess Dutton, ways of strengthening co-operation by the two countries over joint projects related to mineral resources, petroleum and petrochemicals. Minister el-Mulla said in a press statement that the special economic and political relations between the two countries contributed to providing an attractive climate for Canadian investment in Egypt. He pointed out that Egyptian-Canadian co-operation in the fields of petroleum and mineral resources was making good progress, the state news agency MENA reported. El-Mulla added that the Canadian companies working in Egypt had been successful in the fields of research, exploration, the production of oil and gas and in training workers and developing their skills. Canadian Ambassador Dutton said that Canadian investors and companies were very interested in the investment opportunities available in Egypt especially in the petroleum and mining sectors,because of Egypt's strong infrastructure and the measures taken by the Egyptian government to create an attractive climate for investment.
