CAIRO, March 1 (MENA) - The Cabinet's Information and Decision Support Center (IDSC) dismissed Thursday news reports on poisoning in drinking water in Alexandria. “Such news is baseless,” IDSC said in a report. The IDSC clarified that there was a decline in the level of water in Rashid Branch and Mahmoudia Canal, which resulted in the inability of Alexandria's Soyouf water plant to operate at full capacity. Alexandria's drinking water is safe and free of pollution or toxicity, the report added. It urged media outlets to seek accuracy while reporting to avoid stirring up public opinion.
