Published in Daily News Egypt on 23 - 06 - 2024

The Israeli occupation forces committed 3 massacres against families in the Gaza Strip during the past 24 hours, leaving 47 dead and 121 injured, raising the toll of the Israeli aggression since 7 October to 37,598 deaths and 86,032 injuries, the Ministry of Health in Gaza announced on Sunday.
European Union foreign affairs chief Josep Borrell stated that Saturday marked one of the bloodiest days since last October, with reports indicating that at least 100 Palestinians lost their lives. Borrell also highlighted the genuine risk of a conflict involving the Lebanese group Hezbollah, emphasizing its potential impact on the region and beyond."
In the meantime, the government media office in Gaza said that more than 17,000 children have been orphaned by the Israeli occupation in the Gaza Strip since the start of the war on the Strip on 7 October, adding that 3% of them have lost both of their parents.
Moreover, the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA) said that depriving 39,000 high school students in the Gaza Strip of exams, and more than half a million children from education over a period of 8 months, is horrific and sad.
On the ground, the Al-Quds Brigades, the military wing of the Islamic Jihad Movement, said that it, in cooperation with the Al-Aqsa Martyrs Brigades and the Al-Nasser Salah al-Din Brigades, bombed the Kissufim military site with mortar shells. The Al-Quds Brigades announced that its resistance members bombed with a missile attack a position of Israeli occupation soldiers on Al-Rashid Street in the Netzarim axis, south of Gaza City.
In the same context, the Al-Qassam Brigades, the military wing of the Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas), said that its fighters destroyed an Israeli engineering vehicle of the "Ofek Carpet" type with a guided missile west of Tel Zoroub in Rafah, noting that it caught fire.
