Published in Daily News Egypt on 11 - 06 - 2023

Around 2,000 runners from Egypt and 45 foreign countries participated in the third edition of the Madinaty Half Marathon. The marathon started on Friday in Madinaty, which is one of Talaat Moustafa Group's projects.
Notable attendees included Amr Haddad, Assistant Minister of Youth and Sports; Omar Hisham Talaat, Chief Business Development Officer at Talaat Moustafa Group; Youssef Kadry, Commercial Director for Sports and Golf Clubs at Talaat Moustafa Group; and Ayman Hakky, Founder and Managing Director of The TriFactory.
Minister of Youth and Sports, Ashraf Sobhy, praised the level of participation and the significant turnout of runners from various foreign nationalities. He also commended the marathon's outstanding organizational level and confirmed that Egypt has become an attractive destination for hosting major sports events.
Hakky indicated that Madinaty Half Marathon, in cooperation with TMG, is qualified to become a global marathon in the near future. Kadry stated that the group is keen on establishing the largest sports clubs in its various projects to encourage people to exercise and maintain their health.
Talaat Moustafa Group, in cooperation with The TriFactory, provided all the facilitation for the Madinaty Half Marathon participants. Tracks were designated within Madinaty for the marathon, which included various races of 3, 5, 10, and 21 kilometres, in addition to a 10-kilometre race for skate enthusiasts.
Foreign participants praised the level of organization in the Madinaty Half Marathon, as well as the project's infrastructure and roads at the highest level, which help runners to run without obstacles. The availability of vast green spaces and lakes along the race route also motivated runners and provided them with enjoyment during the marathon.
Talaat Moustafa Group is committed to supporting sports tourism in Egypt by hosting and organizing international tournaments, including the Asian Tour golf championship, the first world golf championship held in Egypt, the Women's World Squash Team Championship, and the Middle East and North Africa Golf Championship "MENA Tour".
