Egypt, Indian Bohra sect inaugurate Al-Hussein Mosque after renovations
President Al-Sisi thanked the Bohra sect's Sultan for participating in the restoration of mosques in Egypt

Egypt's President Abdel-Fattah Al-Sisi, inaugurated on Wednesday Al-Hussein Mosque after being renovated in the presence of Sultan of the Bohra sect in India Mufaddal Seif Al-Din.
Seif Al-Din was accompanied by princes from his brothers and sons, including Prince Commander Jawhar Izz Al-Din, Prince Jaafar Al-Sadiq Saif Al-Din, as well as Muhammad Hassan — the Sultan's representative in Egypt.
Al-Sisi thanked Sultan Seif Al-Din for the Bohra sect's participation in the restoration of number of mosques in Egypt.
Furthermore, the president asserted that Al-Hussein's tomb remained untouched even during the mosque's developing process, explaining that the development work came in cooperation with the Ministry of Antiquities and Tourism.
Presidential Spokesperson Bassam Rady stated that the renovation of Al-Hussein Mosque came within the framework of Al-Sisi's directives to restore and renovate the shrines of Al-Hussein, Sayyida Nafisa, and Sayyida Zainab.
The renovations included repairing the interior halls of the mosques and their architectural decorations, along with developing services and facilities surrounding the sites of the shrines, including roads, squares. and entrances leading to them.
Rady added that within the framework of the historically close relations between Egypt and the Bohra, they have participated in the restoration of the shrines.
For his part, the sultan said: "On this blessed day of the holy month of Ramadan, I thank Egypt's president, government, and people for their role in renovating this shrine, the shrine of our master Imam Al-Hussein."
