Egypt is one of the most popular tourist destinations in winter, as temperature reaches 23-24 °C on average. Egypt also follows strict precautionary measures to protect visitors from the novel coronavirus (COVID-19). All tourism workers in tourism establishments, including hotels, resorts, cafes, restaurants, and bazaars, as well as tourism transportation in the Red Sea, South Sinai, Luxor, and Aswan, had been vaccinated against COVID-19, as hotels and resorts gear up for the safe return of holidaymakers this winter. They are the best destinations for winter vacations. The sun rises for 11 hours a day during summer and over 8 hours a day in winter. Luxor and Aswan are located in southern Egypt. The Nubian village is located on Elephantine Island on the Nile River, near Aswan. One of the most common traditions of the Nubian village's residents is raising crocodiles in their homes as pets. Aswan is also famous for Abu Simbel Temple and Kom Ombo Temple. Sharm El-Sheikh Sharm El-Sheikh is known for its warm weather and amazing beaches that attract many tourists in winter. Sharm El-Sheikh is one of the world's extraordinary diving destinations. Tourists every year come to the city to enjoy its magnificent mountains, exotic coral reefs, mesmerizing clear blue water, fancy resorts and gorgeous beaches. Dahab Once in Egypt, tourists flock to Dahab, which translates as (Gold). From its name the city is famous for its yellow shiny sand. Dahab is the second most treasured diving destination in south Sinai after Sharm El-Sheikh. Last week, the Egyptian Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities launched a digital campaign, called "Sunny Christmas", on social media platforms to promote the country's top travel destinations for winter 2022. The sunny Christmas campaign launched by the Egyptian Tourism Promotion Board (ETPB), targets tourists from the UK, Germany, Ukraine, Italy, France, Russia, and the US. The CEO of the Egyptian General Authority for Tourism Activation, Amr El Kady, said that the launching of this campaign coincides with the celebrations of Christmas and New Year in order to attract more tourists from outside to this country. El-Kady said that through a short film and illustrated content, the campaign showcases the archeological and natural elements of Egyptian tourist destinations, including warm weather, scenery, ancient relics and diverse tourist activities. The campaign also aims to promote domestic tourism and encourage Egyptians to spend the holidays, New Year and Christmas in Egyptian tourist destinations, he added. Moreover, Assistant Minister of Tourism and Antiquities Lamia Kamel noted that the campaign was launched on the most popular social media platforms including Facebook, YouTube, Instagram, Snapchat, TikTok, and VK. The ministry is keen to use modern promotional means to reach a larger number of people around the world, Kamel added. Social media promotion also provides the ministry with the ability to measure reach, she said. Suzan Mostafa, the Director-General of planning and follow-up and Head of international campaigns at the Egyptian Tourism Promotion Authority, said that promoting tourism through social media using photos, videos and written content is an essential part of the ministry's marketing strategy, and that social media pages are inspiring travelers to discover Egypt.
