EBRD Vice President Pilloux to visit Egypt from 17 to 20 October
Visit demonstrates EBRD's continued support for Egyptian economy

The European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) Vice President of Banking, Alain Pilloux, is visiting Egypt from 17 to 20 October for high-level meetings with government officials to discuss the new upcoming country strategy, business community and projects signing.
During his visit, Pilloux will meet Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly, Minister of International Cooperation and EBRD Governor Rania Al-Mashat, Minister of Electricity and Renewable Energy Mohamed Shaker, Minister of Transport Kamel ElWazir, Minister of Planning and Economic Development Hala El-Said, and Minister of Environment Yasmine Fouad.
Vice President Pilloux, will also meet Mohamed Farid, Chairperson of the Egyptian Exchange (EGX) and the business community and EBRD clients.
The EBRD's delegation includes Heike Harmgart, the EBRD Managing Director for the southern and eastern Mediterranean region, Managing Director for Financial Institutions, Francis Malige and Khalid Hamza, Deputy Head for Egypt.
Ahead of the visit, Pilloux said: "This visit demonstrates our continued support for the Egyptian economy and our commitment to the development of the private sector. I look forward to the discussions on our new country strategy that is under preparation and how we can work together even more closely and effectively to achieve sustainable and inclusive economic growth".
Notably, Egypt is a founding member of the EBRD. Since the start of its operations there in 2012, the Bank has invested more than €8bn in 136 projects in the country.
