The Korean Cultural Center hosted an introductory seminar on the study system at Korean universities and the benefits of scholarships in South Korea, intending to exchange experiences with the winners of the Global Korea Scholarship (GKS). Oh Sung-ho, Director of the Korean Cultural Center, said that the GKS scholarship program run by the National Institute for International Education Development (NIIED) has provided masters and doctoral scholarships to 10 Egyptian students in various disciplines. He stressed that providing scholarships to Egyptian students to study in Korea, whether at university or master's and doctoral levels, will contribute to promoting educational and cultural exchange. He added that it will also strengthen the bonds of friendship between the Korean and Egyptian peoples. The director of the Korean Cultural Center praised the role of Korean university graduates in strengthening bilateral relations. "Egyptian students studying in Korea will serve as cultural ambassadors who will promote the intercultural understanding between the peoples of the two countries", he added. During the seminar, Dr Ayman Atef, a Professor at the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine of Zagazig University, shared his experience of studying in Korea, while Sherin Emara, Assistant Professor in the Korean language department at Ain Shams University, addressed cultural differences and lifestyle in Korea. Also, an open panel discussion was held in which former Korean university graduates answered all questions of the GKS winners.
