Act of giving continues in Ramadan, despite challenges presented by COVID-19
Published in Daily News Egypt on 05 - 05 - 2021

Throughout the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) crisis, there have been numerous examples of people coming together on Facebook to do good.
In the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region, people have shown many acts of kindness, providing charity, funds, and donations, to support the less fortunate. This has been a means for local communities to offer support where it is needed.
This act of giving continues in Ramadan. Despite the challenges presented by COVID-19, Ramadan in the MENA region remains a time for reflection, connection, and sharing.
Facebook is marking the holy month of Ramadan with a global campaign called the #MonthofGood. It aims to explore, inspire, and express good across its family of apps, in a celebration of charity, collaboration, and community.
As part of this initiative, here are examples of small businesses across the MENA region that are coming together to inspire millions to do good and express solidarity.
