Egypt aims to recruit repatriated expats in national development projects

Egypt's Ministry of State for Emigration and Egyptian Expatriates' Affairs has prepared a labour recruitment application form, to collect personal information and professional skills of recently repatriated expats.
This is in preparation for offering them jobs in the ongoing national development projects.
The application form, named "Nawart Baladak" (Welcome Home!), was drafted in cooperation with the Ministry of Planning and Economic Development.
Minister of Emigration Nabila Makram said the employment application is available online and has been distributed to all repatriated expats in places of quarantine, in cooperation with the Ministry of Higher Education.
It was also sent to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs for circulation to the Egyptian diplomatic missions and labour offices in Arab countries, especially the GCC states, to be available to Egyptians there before returning home.
Additionally, the Ministry of Civil Aviation will distribute the application form among expats on returning flights.
Minister Makram said the move comes upon the Prime Minister's decision to prepare a database for all repatriated expats, classified according to governorates, professions, and age groups, to make use of their experiences in the country's development projects.
Since April, Egypt has launched a large-scale repatriation operation to bring home its stranded citizens abroad due to the novel coronavirus pandemic.
