Digital solutions company VictoryLink is to provide the Ministry of Health with 3 million SMSs as part of the state's efforts in raising awareness on the coronavirus (COVID-19).
The partnership aims to use SMS service to keep citizens up-to-date with the latest information on the precautionary measures.
Engy El-Saban, CEO and Board Member of VictoryLink said, "VictoryLink is always keen on supporting the Egyptian government as part of our social responsibility towards our community. We make sure that our resources and services are utilised for this cause. As a result, we aimed to help spread reliable information provided by the Ministry of Health on the accurate precautionary measures to combat COVID-19."
VictoryLink is a leading full-fledged technology company that works across the MENA region. It has established many partnerships with various government bodies in Egypt, such as with the Ministries of Communications and Information Technology, Social Solidarity, and Education among others.
VictoryLink is able to integrate technology into labour market mechanisms and transfer information through its wide array of digital and value added services.
This is not VictoryLink's first collaboration with the Ministry of Health, having previously participated in the 100 million health campaign under the patronage of President Abdel Fattah Al-Sisi.
The project took place in collaboration with the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology and the World Health Organization (WHO). Through this partnership, VictoryLink provided 17 million SMSs to more than 300,000 citizens.
The campaign aimed to raise awareness on diabetes symptoms, treatments available whilst also sharing healthy habits with citizens to avoid the disease.
