Mercedes-Benz Egypt introduces the new Mercedes-Benz A-Class Saloon for the first time ever in the Egyptian market. The four-door Saloon car has the proportions of a dynamic and at the same time compact Saloon car. It is at the top of its segment with regard to rear headroom. In addition, the new Saloon model features a new modern, efficient engine, the high level of safety thanks to state-of-the-art driving assistance systems, LED Headlamps, Ambient lights, 7G-DCT transmission, Mirrors on the beltline and also on board is the new MBUX multimedia system with unique learning abilities thanks to artificial intelligence and the intelligent voice control of the MBUX system with natural speech recognition, which is activated with the keyword “Hey Mercedes”. The new A-Class Saloon also has the lowest aerodynamic drag of all production vehicles worldwide, ensuring for a sporty and exceptionally dynamic drive.
A200 Saloon Progressive & A200 Saloon Luxury
For the first time in Egypt, the new Mercedes-Benz A-Class Saloon will be available as A200 in Progressive line and the Luxury line. While both lines enjoy class leading equipment levels, each of these lines delivers its own set of distinctive characters depending on the drivers' preferences. The A200 Progressive packs the MBUX multimedia system with a 10.25 inches touch function media display, a 10.25 inches fully digital instrument display and a newly designed touchpad. The car also features ambient lighting, electrically adjusted driver's seat with memory functions, in addition to privacy glass and 17-inch wheels. The A200 Luxury offers all the same impressive options, however adding bigger 18-inch wheels, a panoramic sunroof, an advanced sound system, extended MBUX functionality and stronger visual presence thanks to the installed night package and aluminium trim.
A new modern, efficient engine
To complement the dynamic abilities of the new A200, the car is equipped with a new 1.4 litre turbocharged engine delivering 163 hp, also featuring a 7G DCT dual-clutch transmission. The A200 accelerates from 0-100 in just 8.1 sec with a top speed of 230Kph. The exceptional aerodynamic properties of the new A200 are a crucial factor in the low fuel consumption in real-life conditions, endowing the A-Class with a fuel consumption figure of 5.2-5.4 l/100 km.
Interior design: revolution from within
The interior of the new A-Class Saloon is completely redefined with its modern, avant-garde look. Mercedes-Benz has taken a completely new approach, revolutionising the compact class from the inside with a new feeling of spaciousness. The unique interior architecture is shaped in particular by the Widescreen display, which is completely free-standing. The air vents in a sporty turbine look are another highlight, enhanced by the multiple colors of the ambient lighting.
Exterior Design: superior sportiness and modernity
With its puristic design, the A-Class Saloon is hot and cool at the same time, and thereby is a seamless fit with the design idiom of Sensual Purity. Thanks to the big wheels and the pronounced wheel arches, the A-Class Saloon has a sporty stance on the road. The front end design looks very progressive. Contributing to this impression are the low, elongated bonnet, the slim line headlamps, the torch-like daytime driving lights and the central star.
