Nile Pioneer initiative officially begins on Sunday, sponsored by CBE
Establishing 30 business development centres under initiative during current year in 16 governorates

The Nile Pioneers Initiative, funded by the Central Bank of Egypt (CBE), will be launched next Sunday by the Nile University (NU) in cooperation with banks, universities, and many local and international organisations in order to support entrepreneurship, as well as small and emerging projects.
The official launch of the initiative will be attended by Tarek Amer, the governor of the CBE, as well as by Tarek Khalil, the president of the NU, a number of ministers and heads of committees in the parliament, leaders from the CBE, as well as communication companies, and representatives from the banking sector.
During the launch of the initiative, two cooperation protocols will be signed, one between the CBE and the ministry of youth and sports, and the second one between the ministry of planning ‘Pioneers 2030' and the Nile Pioneers initiative.
According to a statement issued by the CBE, the initiative is the result of a strategic sponsorship agreement signed by the CBE with the NU. The aim was to embrace, nurture, and support the Egyptian youth to transform their developed ideas into a practical reality in the fields of entrepreneurship and development, marketing and transfer of technology, in addition to innovation and competitiveness. As a first stage, 12 banks and the Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprise Development Agency (MSMEDA) will coordinate with all the supporting bodies of the economic system in order to create a suitable environment for the development of small and medium enterprises.
Moreover, 30 business development centres under the initiative will be established in 16 governorates with the cooperation of the participating banks and the MSMEDA.
